Welcome to November!

Here are some photos of what both groups have been doing so far this month. We have been busy and we sure have been enjoying all of this wonderful warm weather🌞

Both groups collaborated to make our Remembrance Day bulletin boards.

Group Two have been experimenting using charcoal pencils.

Lemon Volcano Experiments

N. loved all of the beautiful colours, so she just had to take the lemon home to show Mom :)

Group Games in Group Two

"Seven Up" we changed the rules to be Covid safe.  Instead of touching the players they touch the marker in each players hand.

 "Head Bands"

Individual Play

"Look I made a Volcano inside my water bottle" We will explore this more in the future by making a volcano using plastic pop bottles.

It is always fun to stack cups and see how high and how fast you can stack them.

B. having fun with looseparts "Look I am in a picture"

 B. discovered that his car went much faster if he raised his track.

Our new friend certainly enjoyed making some slime :)

Making a poppy out of loose parts.

That sure is stretchy slime.

Adventures with Slime

Group Two Adventures with Slime 😀

All week we have been experimenting with different recipes for slime.  First we tried making it with glue, contact solution and diluted paint - it turned out pretty runny.
Next we used glue, cornstarch and diluted paint- stretchy, but not what they were looking for.
The third batch was glue, food colouring and contact solution. Mrs. Marriner suggested adding some baking soda. This worked better and we made a small batch.  After, this success we, of course, had to double it and it was super stretchy... and then on our  fifth attempt we finally got it right.  They say practice makes perfect........!

Mrs. Richard loves to play with slime!

We can even make a bubble 🗨
